An email generator should do exactly one thing well: hand you a working address you didn’t have to think up or sign up for. The address above was generated for you at random the moment this page loaded. Press Generate New Email and you get another, as many times as you like — each one a real inbox that receives mail within seconds.
That “real inbox” part is the important distinction. Many results for “email generator” are fake email generators: they invent a plausible-looking address string, but nothing is behind it, so no verification code ever arrives. This one is the opposite — a random address and a live inbox to catch whatever gets sent to it.
Random email generator vs. fake email generator
A random email generator like this one produces a genuine, deliverable address on a domain that is actually receiving mail — so a signup’s confirmation link or code lands in the inbox on this page. A fake email generator just fabricates a string that looks like an address (jsmith8842@example.com) with no mailbox behind it. Fake ones are useful only for filling a form you will never need to hear back from; the moment a site sends a verification step, they fail.
If your goal is to receive something — almost always the case — you want the random-but-real kind. That is what the button above gives you.
What you can do with a generated address
Use a generated address anywhere an email is the cost of entry: free trials, downloads, forum and app signups, coupons, Wi-Fi portals, and one-time verification codes. Because generating another is instant, it is also ideal for testing your own signup or password-reset emails — create a fresh identity per test run without cluttering a personal inbox.
Every generated address is disposable by design: two timers above the inbox show how long it keeps receiving and how long messages are kept before they are permanently deleted. Nothing to unsubscribe from, nothing to clean up.
How the generator works
Each address uses a random local part (the bit before the @) on one of our active domains. The randomness is what keeps addresses from colliding and makes each one effectively unlinkable to the last. If a site rejects a generated address because it recognises the domain as disposable, generate another — where more than one domain is available you can switch domains from the menu next to the buttons, and a different domain sometimes gets through.
The service is receive-only: you can read everything that arrives, but nothing can be sent from a generated address. That is deliberate, and it is what makes a throwaway address safe to hand out.
